What's The Golden Apple Award All About?
This program gives local teachers community-wide recognition for the creative ways they support, motivate and encourage a lifetime of learning, in and out of the classroom. The Golden Apple is made possible by Kenny Wheeler Farmers Insurance, Klinger's Collision Center and Blackwell Dentistry.
What Do Winning Teachers Receive?
Winners are featured on 1047 The Bull, WBBZ, PoncaPost.com and Oklahoma Bull.com. They'll receive the prestigious Golden Apple trophy plus $200 for classroom school supplies and other prizes!
Who Is Eligible?
Eligible nominees include Pre-K through 12th grade teachers in the 1047 The Bull/WBBZ listening area who inspire and motivate students to great heights in education. We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate creative teaching, develop programs for our youth and/or any other activities that add greater value to learning and/or have an exceptional attitude despite adversity.
